Minds Eye

Embrace your inner being and break the shackles that bind you!

Embrace your inner being and break the shackles that bind you!

“You have to lose your human mind to gain your spiritual senses.” This quote, unlike any other, resonates the most with me when I think about understanding spiritualism. It means that spiritualism is so vast that our minds cannot comprehend it and that one’s mind would become exhausted from processing all the information. Hence, to protect itself, it locks itself. To unlock our minds we need to give up things that keep us connected to reality.

Our reality comes in many forms: materialistic needs, sheltered lives,  careers, and everything that we deem is real. It is hard to give up these pleasures, but for the mind, it is important to give them up. Once the mind is awakened, all the boundaries of reality are shattered and we see the world as it truly is. The mind’s eye goes by many names: the third eye or the inner eye. This eye can unlock our ability to witness everything. The importance of the third eye is depicted as a form of enlightenment that one attains to shatter all illusions, often seen as reality. I will not pretend to know what happens if one opens the third eye, because I do not know. However, I will share the brief periods of how one feels intrinsic enlightenment. In other words, intrinsic enlightenment means a moment of clarity. In this post, we will discuss how to practice loving ourselves, how to overcome emotional strife, and lastly, how to enter intrinsic enlightenment and theoretically prolong those moments.

Let’s start by defining spiritualism Spiritualism through my lens is an ocean that is so vast that it cannot end. While religion is a river that connects to the ocean. I know this is an abstract definition, but I feel that this definition is sufficient for one to understand the direction that this post is going to take.

Loving ourselves is important; without self-love, there can be no understanding of self. Self-love comes in many forms; it can be seen as you exercising or buying yourself gifts. I believe the best form of self-love is to listen to yourself and trust your intuition. Because that is the core part of one’s higher self and protects them from all outside energies, no one knows you as you know yourself. When in the period of self-love you can show and be open to learning and unlearning things to live a happier life. These can be examples of habits, addictions, activities, places and people. Self-love is knowing one’s worth and not settling for less without feeling egocentric, setting boundaries and not feeling guilty, and showing our authentic selves without feeling ashamed of our journey. Self-love is the first step. Without self-love, we are a shell that is contained with fear, insecurities, anger, pain, guilt, shame and self-delusion. All of this will result in one seeking to keep oneself busy so one does not need to concentrate on what needs to be worked on to heal.

On your self-love journey you will experience emotional strife, this is, unfortunately, a part of having a human experience. One suffers in many ways, some at the hands of others and some due to their doings. We must remember that we have chosen to come back and witness, through this vessel, the experience of all emotions and experiences of adventure, and each person that has caused some sort of emotional trigger is a test of your soul’s evolution. Being a human and experiencing both highs and lows gives one a euphoric moment. Such emotions lead to self-enlightenment and awareness of what kind of person one is. This planet is not for the faint-hearted, remember that to grow and learn we must experience situations and gather the knowledge to find solutions. This is where we start to walk the road of self-mastery. Being able to identify what is causing a trigger inside of us and then having the courage to address it so that it is no more a trigger, but a part of self-awareness and taking the correct action to heal that trigger. We can keep ourselves in a mindless torture state by not accepting situations, not taking the correct steps towards action, not changing or challenging ourselves, and not empowering ourselves to get over that hurdle and become better, not bitter, stronger, not sadder, fiercer, not weaker. Every action has a counter-reaction and it is up to you which action you decide to take while going through emotional strife. Either lay down and give up or get up and give it another go with what you have learnt this far regardless of where you may be in their journey. I always say “When things get tough, slow down, and don’t give up.”

The final topic is how to reach intrinsic enlightenment, otherwise known as, ‘moments of clarity.’ Those moments will help one to see the world more clearly than they used to. They come about when you are present and see the world and its beauty. Being present and seeing the people lead their day-to-day lives is when your mind becomes clearer. I read somewhere about what one must do to clean their mind up, which often gets muddled without our awareness until the gnawing feeling in the back of one’s mind suggests that something is missing. Once you have attained intrinsic enlightenment, do not get fixated on that feeling, because it shows you what you need to become whole as an individual. To prolong the length one must meditate for at least more than ten minutes every day.

I must not fear. Fear is the mind-killer. Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration. I will face my fear. I will permit it to pass over me and through me. And when it has gone past, I will turn the inner eye to see its path. Where the fear has gone, there will be nothing. Only I will remain.

Frank Herbert

As we reach the end of this post I want to leave by saying that do not worry about things you cannot control the emotions we feel at that moment, the best advice I can give you is to let them flow. If it is the sadness you feel, cry till you can’t cry anymore, or laugh till your face hurts, or if you feel anger, then go work out or meditate on those thoughts till they become powerless. Those emotions are so powerful that they can affect you in ways that you cannot imagine. Look straight at yourself in the mirror by validating yourself  by saying,  “I am on a journey of my mastery which I will feel and validate because I am only human!”

Remember you all are doing the best you can with the resources you have and self-validation will be your best friend in some cases.

We can be so hard on ourselves and often find ourselves in harsh mental blocks, where we just can’t seem to piece the puzzle together and this is perfectly normal because just as the saying goes “After the storm comes the sunshine again”.Meaning that you were going through a moment of lessons and purging of the old beliefs to create new healthier ones, this is known as epiphanies, revelations, realization or intrinsic enlightenment.

We all have these moments it’s just a case of wanting to truly acknowledge them and work with what you have found to create a space for healing and intentional action toward a higher level of awareness, no one has it all figured out that is the reason you will always hear “trust the process” because the unknown is exactly what it is, unknown. It means you have room to create just as you would begin to paint on a blank canvas, it’s your time to be free in what you desire to bring into your life through the power of your imagination.

Moments of clarity will come to you when you learn what is needed, this can be anything from learning to become more compassionate with yourself, forgiving another person, trusting yourself and your intuition or simply understanding that you are and have always been enough.

Give yourself time to figure things out, you are dealing with a lot of heavy emotions and working through a lot of generational energy to transmute.

Nothing lasts forever, not even those moments of chaos.

Heroism

Embrace your inner heroism in you!

As the years’ progress, we see that peoples’ materialistic needs have increased compared to the past. With the advancements in technology, our society is becoming fast-paced, making people more fragile mentally, making people absorb the good and bad of the world. Technology has influenced many of us to meet people less in person due to having more online presence. This causes a lack of cohesion where people do not coexist as they once did. This statement brings me to the reason why this post is important: the importance of coexisting and the idea that few individuals through their charisma, charm, and intelligence can bring us into a unified front. The first premise defines what a hero is. The kind of traits or qualities one needs to identify as a hero! Second, what kinds of heroes are out there in the world. What kinds of heroes are we desperately in need of in this era? How can we embrace our heroism within ourselves? What is heroism?

Hero is a subjective word depending on how the word is being used, in the context of describing someone or telling someone. For example, one can call someone “my hero” complementarily, which implies one did something warranting heroism. The second example is in a more practical frame where one earns a medal like the Nobel peace prize for doing something exemplary one did in their field. There are various examples where one can become a hero. By definition, the word ‘hero’ is transformative. To be regarded as a hero, one needs to undergo ordeals that shape one into a being that transcends history or the time they live in. The traits we see in a hero are selflessness, humility, charisma, and the healing of the people. This is my definition of what a hero is. This definition of a hero can also be considered a trait of how I idolize a hero.

Now that we know what a hero is and what qualities and traits he/she needs to be recognized as a hero. We can then consider what types of heroes exist. You may disagree with my opinion, and that is fine. I want to point out that understanding the point of view of a critical concept can muddle your thoughts; please be mindful of whether you agree or disagree with my opinions. Let’s get down to what types of heroes exist today!

The first heroes are the warriors, which are common in today’s world as we see them everywhere. Warrior heroes can be anyone that protects our known civilizations like the military, police, etc… The second group of heroes are the humanitarians. Those that fight for humanity when the powerful oppress the weak. For example, Martin Luther King Jr., Mahatma Gandhi, and Anne Frank. The third kind of hero is the healer. Healers are heroes of the people that provide support to everyday people both spiritually and mentally. Healers are essential, without them there would only be chaos in the world. Healers today would be seen as doctors, priests, and mental health professionals. As time goes on, we notice that healers are important and need to be present throughout time. Healers symbolize and can be considered as also humanitarian. They symbolize the human race and the struggle of the current era. Whether it may be about health or social issues or both. Lastly, another type of hero I like to also recognize alongside the healer and humanitarian is the artist. They bring colours to the dark and gloomy world. It lights up our world and allows human expression to be more visible. We need fewer warriors and more artists that can change the world in a way where everyone can live and coexist with one another.

Lastly, how can one embrace their heroic traits or qualities? In my opinion, one can embrace these qualities by accepting one’s authentic self, not the ideals that others thrust upon you – they are not you! Hence, it is your decision to make sure that you are being the best version of yourself. This in itself is heroic that is the first step of empowering oneself. The final question is what is heroism? The answer is the sum of the deeds you do in an attempt to find yourself in the dark. The deed is the light that provides you with the path to yourself to venture forwards!

Heroism is matter of choice!

Richard Cohen

True heroism is remarkably sober, very undramatic. It is not the urge to surpass all others at whatever cost, but the urge to serve others at whatever cost.

Arthur Ashe

Be yourself and be true to yourself, because heroes are in all of us! No matter what life one leads’ everyone can master their life.

Reflection

“Learn to know thyself, and learn to reflect on thyself”

Reflection is all about learning about yourself, thus elevating oneself to higher plain of knowing!

Recently, I have been reflecting on myself. Learning to understand the vitality of human emotion is hard when most of us prefer to stay ignorant and compartmentalize our emotions. I realized that I had forgotten to feel my emotions and feelings, sometimes that is so important for self-growth.

Emotions, like many small things, can be overlooked or ignored like sadness, anger, disgust, and etc.  We learn that positivity is more important than negativity, however, when we look at our emotions we cannot deny that they are a way to circumvent our pent-up feelings. That is why self-reflection is really important to practice because it opens us up to feel human and feel alive. In my opinion, emotions are teachers, because they teach you how you actually feel even though you do not realize the fact.

In this post, we dwell on the importance of self-reflection and how we can use our mind and spirit to work in cohesion in order to gain clarity and let our emotions push past our hesitation, self-doubt, and most of all, our insecurities. I believe that there are hidden phenomena that take place within ourselves and when we learn to self-reflect and feel what we often deny.

You must be wondering what I am going on about and why am I sounding like an author from a sci-fi novel. Let’s keep an open mind about ourselves. We call ourselves humans, Intelligent life forms, predatorial and territorial, and most of all stardust. In defining our core being we have to understand that self-reflection and the power of emotions at the end of the day are a singularity that recycles and makes us confront our inner demons. I believe we are everything that our planet earth wants us to be, such as creators, helpers, and coexisting with the nature around us. Obviously, we can see how much we are ruining our planet with pollution and war. If that is not enough we interfere with the natural order of the earth this also includes interfering with each other’s lives. Regardless, we human beings are endless like the universe we live in In this blog, I will be talking about dimensions within us and how that is our reflection of ourselves.

I am going to explain the understanding of ‘dimensions’ and how that is a reflection of ourselves. For example, imagine a clear night where there is a full moon and its light shines in the water and you just happen to be there looking at your reflection of yourself in the water. Would you see your reflection in the water completely or maybe just a half of yourself? I will leave that answer to you, but in my opinion, it can go either way. Most often I imagine that we see only half of ourselves because the other half is left undiscovered and that my friends are what I call are ‘dimensions.’ Reflection is an innate tool that is within us from the time we were born to the time we pass on. I find reflection to be so important for us because it helps us travel through the unlimited dimension that we create of ourselves. In this post, I want to define dimensions as multiple universes within us and reflection as a tool to travel to these unknown dimensions in order to unearth pieces of oneself that are hidden from them.

These pieces are forgotten, overlooked, and cast out, which may beg the question: “what is the use to look for these pieces of yourself that you outgrew?” What if I said that these pieces are qualities and traits that were positive and now cast out, would you still delve deeper into the dimension to reclaim them? Because I know I would! Though there may be a little bit of naivety in my thinking, these qualities and traits that are forgotten deserve to be reclaimed. Doing so will make you feel elevated to reclaim such lost qualities within yourself. These lost qualities and traits will help you reflect on your actions, thoughts, and most all will help us feel a sense of accomplishment that we are that much closer to gaining an understanding of ourselves. These pieces you reclaim will become part of your core being. In this aspect, you can view that dimensions are your forgotten personalities and you are journeying there to rebuild yourself back up.

As Water reflects the face, so one’s life reflects the heart

Proverb 27:19

I want to leave off by saying that don’t be afraid in reclaiming your positive traits and qualities that are often muddled by other people’s interference in your life, because at the end of the day it is up to you and how you feel about yourself and the people around you. Learn to let go of things that weigh you down, and allow yourself to reflect on your dimensions that are forgotten and are positive pieces of yourself that deserve to be reclaimed.

Passion

Passion is the Fire that makes all things come to life!!!

Passion is the Fire that makes all things come to life!!!
Passion is the Fire that makes all things come to life!!!

Passion is starting something that is lit up and ignited by your inspiration. Passion is something that one ignites and grows into an explosive fiery force that cannot be extinguished once it is ignited. In many instances, the greatest minds of our past and present continuously work to show their talent and geniuses to the world through their passions. In turn, I believe that people that judge others who have made names for themselves want them to get complacent and falter. However, those who zone out other’s comments and imagine that they are nothing but chatter will become far more resilient and willing to succeed. Let’s face it, we only live once and life can be tough, but that is part of the thrill. Passion grows from continuously l believing in yourself and growing from the mistakes you make along the way.

Let’s look at passion from this perspective, that you are a blacksmith and the furnace you fuel is your desires, visions, ideals, and passion. In heating these materials together you get a weapon that is strong as your will and strong as your passion. You can use this weapon to slay your insecurities, doubts, and most of all the negativity you may face from others around you. This is what I feel passion is from my perspective. It is a blade worthy of being wielded by the few who have the courage, determination, and most of all persistence to take the steps and make the mistakes needed to pursue your dreams and passions.

There is no passion to be found playing small–in settling for a life that is less than the one you are capable of living.

Nelson Mandela

People with great passion can make the impossible happen

Be a forger of your own ambition no matter if it is small or big. Take steps one at a time to create a weapon that will never grow dull, because of your will, efforts, and most of all your courage to make it stronger and deadlier for those who look down on you. Be the greatness you want to see in the world!

Strikes Of Lightning

Change is everywhere!

Change is Storm

One may know the phrase that ‘lightning doesn’t strike the same place twice, but what if I told you in actuality that is an obsolete idea, because actually it can strike the same place twice, once in your universe and another in your reality.  In any life changing events that one faces, whether it may be good or bad, it has somehow changed the flow of one’s internal world and made one’s reality somewhat turbulent. Thus, this makes one question their decisions in how to carry on in achieving their goals. In reality this change for many individuals is a make or break moment, meaning this is when everyone of us is tested with how strong our resolve is. If it is strong, then the change that you face will be positive, while those who’s resolve falters, may face an unfavourable wave of change, which may cause regret and great deal of friction to accept.

Before we delve deeper into this post I want to clarify that lightning is the element I am using to symbolize change, growth, and failure, because in a way we need this element to put us through these trials to make us, stronger, bolder, braver, persevere, and lastly, to stay resilient.

Now that I have explained the significance of lightning lets delve into the core of this element, which is change, in what I shared earlier is something we all had or have to face depending on what stages of life we are in. Change is all around us like right now where we have to stay home, due to COVID-19. Many people I understand are still struggling, whether it may be financially, professionally, or even personally; regardless I want you all to take the time out of your day to accept that this change may open many doors that you may have not thought of opening or rediscovering oneself and finding out new interests that one may want to develop once everything resumes. Everyone of us needs change, whether it may be good or bad no one knows, but at least it keeps us on our toes and always keeps life interesting.

It’s not a Storm. It’s a Transition.

Hustling4Happiness.com

I want people to understand that life is messy and change is the storm that can bring good tidings or can cause great disasters. In many of these storms lightning is a force that has the potential to guide one to great destinations that one may have not thought of.

Happiness

Be Happy and Cherish Moments to remain in Mind

Hey everyone, I hope you all have been safe and staying home because of the COVID-19 pandemic that has flipped our life upside down. Regardless, I hope that you all are taking the time to have fun and spending time with your family and loved ones.

Today’s blog post discusses the importance of happiness, which I find is quite appropriate for our present, chaotic circumstances. The emotion of happiness can act as an anchor in any given situation and circumstance, however, it is up to you to decide whether you will let it anchor you to the ground or let you sink in despair. Regardless, life continues to thrive and prosper without us interfering in it. Do not worry about things that are out of your control, because you cannot control everything. I won’t pretend to understand what kinds of challenges you all may be facing, but just take it one step at a time and think about the next right thing to do, while you are home with one another.

If you are alone take up a hobby or try something new that you may have been wanting to try for some time but were reluctant to start.  Do what makes you happy and also do the things that make you feel excited, in turn forgetting about all the sadness that is taking place in the world around us.

I strongly believe that happiness should be the center of one’s universe and whatever is orbiting one’s happiness should align like they are stars of passion. Let your heart guide you on a journey within yourself to find new goals and passions that have the potential to open up new possibilities for you.

Be happy, be yourself, love yourself and cherish the people close to you in your heart. During the tough times and good times, there will be family, friends, colleagues who will be there to cheer you on, celebrate with and support you when rough times rear its head. These global crises can prove to be a perfect beginning to connect with people who you would generally not get time to talk to due to our regular busy lifestyle. The world is slowed down and nature is recovering from our torment we cause with all the pollution and dangers. It is the perfect time to see nature in its full beauty and splendour. Be happy, go for walks, talk to people, but exercise social distancing.

I want you all to understand that this setback is not worth worrying about because it is out of our control; all we can do is continue to be happy and cherish the moments we have and spend time with each other but most of all support one other in this hard time.

Happiness isn’t what you find at the end of the road. It’s right here. Right now

Unknown

I want to conclude by saying that “Happiness is to viewed in moments you spend in the fun with one another or with doing an activity that you enjoy.” Don’t let these times be the times that bring you down, because happiness will continue to rein you in from desperation and all the chaos that is present in the world. So be happy to live your life to the fullest in these tough times.

Self/Selves

Self is the guide and the journey to make one feel victorious about themselves!!!!!!!!

I want the topic of this blog post to reverberate to your individuality and for you all to understand what self means in the context of self-discovery, where’d one seeks to transform themselves to become stronger and more powerful mentally and spiritually in order to have the courage to follow the path of their choosing. This invites one to feel victorious in triumphing over some form of internal strife that can expand one’s individual perception of themselves. In my opinion, this breakthrough can happen by realizing one’s limitations and strengths within one’s understanding of their individual being. That does not mean that one should stop attempting to discover themselves or even strive to be the best version of themselves. I am just saying that one should be aware of their capabilities and strive to hone and strengthen as well as work on one’s weak capabilities.

More often the idea of “self” can affect how one reacts to specific situations depending on their social and mental environment. For example, take our present world and the age we are in where anything is possible and any discovery is welcomed even though we all know the fact that there will always be naysayers and people who are always out for themselves. Those individuals may have endured a certain circumstance that led them to be the way they are today. However, for the individuals that are balanced and have come to terms in their present life that things happen in the most profoundly peculiar ways they understand that the world is in constant flux and how that can impact our lives we lead depending on the hands we are dealt with.

My definition of self is that it is a culmination of many different emotions that illuminate the darkest corners of our lives. In that illumination, we may see demons that we have tried so hard to keep at bay or even sealed them away. We would be naive to think that the demons within us will stay down for a very long time. When they resurface we are given a choice as to how we will respond. For example: if one decides to overcome and triumph over the demon within us then we will witness some form of personal transformation, but if we seal it back up again then that will prove we are cowards, which makes us feel guilty of not fighting it. You may have heard from podcasts or even people preaching that no one ever stays the same when they set out on a quest of finding one’s self. The reason is that they endure insurmountable challenges along the way making the journey odorous and because of these challenges they become strong mentally, and spiritually. Hence, believe in yourself and that will make you tough and mightier than anyone else.

There is an amazing power getting to know your inner self and learning how to use it and not fight with the world. If you know what makes you happy, your personality, interests and capabilities, just use them, and everything else flows beautifully.

There is an amazing power getting to know your inner self and learning how to use it and not fight with the world. If you know what makes you happy, your personality, interests and capabilities, just use them, and everything else flows beautifully.

Juhi Chawla

I want to leave this post off by saying that “Self” is a component that will change if you allow it to or will remain the same depending on how strong your persistence to find answers about yourself, in turn, letting the transformation of yourself to take place.

Meaning of Father

Meaning of Father

This post is personal as it is for celebrating my father’s 50th birthday. In doing so I want to delve into the question of what a father is and how the word’s meaning is perceived by us.

The meaning of ‘father’, is mainly defined, I guess by the love a father gives to their children and how he makes them feel safe from the cruelty of the outside world. This definition, to me, is a true one, however, I am not satisfied with this answer alone. I must think deeper about the word ‘father’ and try to understand why it makes me smile. I know that I cannot explain the feeling of ‘father’, because I myself am not a father yet, so trying to conceptualize it is futile, but understanding the love I have accumulated for my father since I was a baby until now could help me understand. My father has given me infinite love and has nurtured me for many years. He has taught me to break through obstacles. In this way, he takes on the role of a loving life coach.

Regardless of my perspective of him, what I love about my dad is his humour, love, and the nurturing qualities he has for all his family members. He makes my heart feel warm and comfortable in this cold world. He instills me with the strong qualities of discipline and commitment in my life goals and the long paths that I have to venture on, in order to reach my potential. I, of course, cannot claim that all fathers are like mine, however; mischievous, warm-hearted, composed, intuitive, intelligent, and most of all, expressing love in small ways that can often go unnoticed if you don’t know him and his quiet ways of displaying love to his family.

I find his acts of love to still be so profound because it is expressed in daily minuscule acts; by being there for me when I need his support through stressful times and giving me words of encouragement just so I can feel the rise of courage within myself.

The meaning of father can be portrayed by any of these explanations, and still, I wonder if this is enough to conceptualize a love of a father because deep down in my heart I know that words will never be enough. Maybe if I give more fictional concepts I will be able to convey my gratitude for him. For example, his leadership qualities can be portrayed as a king in a castle, or a lion of his pack and his heroic qualities are that like batman who fights crimes and protects his family and those he loves. While these examples provide some clarity, the meaning of father and his qualities can be viewed as a kaleidoscope that is constantly changing to suit our needs.

I will say this though, beyond a doubt, that this father of mine is really something else; because to me, he is everything: he is the universe, a lion, batman, and most of all a professor who teaches me to rise when I fall, and to love with his whole heart just like he does.

Fathers and Sons love each other plenty. Just like a mom and her children. Yet you never see them proclaiming it. It’s an unspoken pact, like a friendship just waiting to bloom.

Graduation

Do not be afraid of what comes after!

Here’s to New Beginnings

I finally graduated this spring from post-secondary education. I am glad to be done school and I am equally anxious about my stepping into the working world.

In this new chapter, I start at the bottom of the working world chain. I have to put myself out there and engage in a series of trials and errors and take tiny steps until I can make waves of my own.  The dynamics within my internal and external world has changed. I know deep down in my gut, heart, and mind they will make me feel uncomfortable because I am doing something that I do not normally engage in. There will be various feelings and emotions that will arise like my insecurities as well as fear of failing, but at the same time, there will be a feeling of exhilaration, excitement and mastery over my character.

In gaming terms, this is the time where character building takes the forefront of selling yourself in achieving your desired destination because while life is not a game,we are its players and  we should make sure that we enjoy our life. Even though it can feel comfortable staying at a standstill, we are creatures of creation and achievements, so, we cannot afford to be standing still.

Possibilities are everywhere because they are endless in our lives. Possibilities are my ally and an adversary because there are endless paths I can take to where I want to go. If I fall I know I have the courage to rise again and try again. At the same time, I am pulled back into the concept of Graduation where our society celebrates a momentous time in life where we as students are finally glad of finishing our learning. However,  the learning does not end because we humans crave knowledge and awareness of what is happening around us.

We need bravery, courage, and tenacity. We have to fail because we do not know how difficult obstacles  are, so the sailor knows how much stronger does the boat needs to be; and how many extra boards that needs to be added to counter against rough waves ahead. In understanding this example we then understand the significance of failure and hard work in being triumphant over one’s achievements.

This mind frame is needed to set a mark on this world, because now we can humbly understand that all our failures were our practice that have led us to this point. In a way one can say that our failures have made us fearless and excited to see what possibilities lie ahead along with the hurdles. We are excited for one more reason and that is coming to terms that I am not the same person as I was before, because I am on my way to ascension to greater heights and embrace the hurdles ahead.

If you are the type of person that is hesitating to fail, fall, and get injured, then my friend you have long arduous road ahead in not only changing your mind frame, but also admitting that you are not perfect. In understanding this fact will give you and anybody else the tools to achieve greatness and perhaps leave a legacy.

Graduation is not the end; it is the beginning.

Orrin Hatch

So whenever you graduate or already have graduated, I want you to know that there is a long, painful, and frustrating journey ahead of you but you are a spirit of courage and must not lose sight of your goals to ensure that your mind grows stronger and heart grows bolder. Do not give up on yourself because you must know that are not alone in this world. Even the most qualified people were in the same place you and I are currently in our lives.

My concluding point is that do not worry what lays ahead but stay strong because you are capable to take the next step—you and I have graduated and finished the hard part. So chase your imaginations and possibilities, because the stars, moon, and the universe is where to sail next.

What Makes Hearth

Home is made by the people who live in it!

This post is dedicated to my cousin sister and her family. I would like to congratulate them on moving into their new house six months ago. In writing this post I want to wish them best of luck on their future ventures as they continue to navigate through the roller coaster ride of life.

Before we define “Hearth” we have to understand the title of this post, which is “what makes hearth,” this warrants us to break the title down to its basic understanding of what makes a home. In my opinion home is where the people one cherishes are present by your side in the dark times and the good times. That is what defines “what makes hearth” in my opinion. Now you must be wondering what is the meaning of “hearth.” When I google searched images of hearth it showed that it is a fireplace, but how is a fireplace significant to the meaning of home? It is significant for this post because a fireplace warms our heart when we are surrounded by people that we hold closest to our hearts. For example a loving wife and a husband, or a son that loves his parents, or closest friends that have formed an everlasting relationship between each other. Whenever I came back from university, I would be excited to come to meet my mom or sister telling them how boring or interesting my day was. The fact I am able to share whatever experience I had at school makes me happy enough. Just like that a family is transformed into a home or a hearth for one’s heart, because it warms it regardless of how your day went.

On the flip side person can also feel lonely even though he/she is surrounded by his/her family. One may be confused why would they feel lonely, I guess the issue can be various from the environment he/she was raised in or the fact that one is living all alone in a house separated from his/her family members. It is important to understand that having a family is more than a commitment or a responsibility it is a form of harnessing life at its core and bending to your will just so the rest of the family members can lead a life of peace and prosperity. This means that the family member’s responsibility is to make sure that the environment that each produce within the home and the emotions that wells up within the hearth are positive and filled with happiness and excitement in living in each other’s lives.

However, there are so many conflicts that may threaten to break a family members apart from each other. It can be betrayal, estrangement, or to much conflict between a father and mother causing them to divide, hence breaking the familial bonds. These conflicts can results the kids to fall in-between causing them immeasurable despair and guilt that they may have caused the conflict. To avoid these kinds of conflicts family members have to understand to have an open mind to learn from each other and grow through guidance by each other. It is important that parents understand in the ever changing society that kids may grow up in has the potential to surpass their parent’s expectations and guidance. So in a way a home can transform into a place of learning and teamwork, but also can be a place used for counselling each other in a therapeutic manner, like sharing problems and challenges that may arise along the way if not dealt efficiently.

Cherish the people who make up your home, and you’ll notice the hearth fires burn brighter than ever before.

To conclude this post I want to leave off by stating that what makes a home are the people that understand you rather than judge you. So, I say, let the home transform to anything you want it to be from being a home to a school, or even a centre for sharing problems. Let the family be a fuel that keeps your hearth lit with hope, happiness and liberty to feel free rather than bound by conflicts that can hold you down.
