Father’s day is a special day for our dads who have guided us with an iron fist throughout all our hardships and have taught us that there is always a way out of any challenges. Our Fathers have taught us the importance of independent thinking and yet have nurtured us with an extreme amount of love and discipline. Fathers help us understand that there are no faults in our beings because that is what makes our individuality unique and great. The reason our fathers encourage to discern this fact is that he understands that we bring different strengths and beauty into this world. Hence our fathers encourage us to delve into those strengths with discipline in constant forging our path to our desired dreams. In a way, our fathers portray these notions on us that our life is an abstract art, hence we all have the power to change it in whatever we seek. With this bold understanding as to how my father and many fathers I believe are like, I can say that they all have wisdom and a lot of experiences that can help us in understanding our purpose in life.
Fathers have great senses of humour which cheer us up and keep us from feeling sorry for ourselves and always making us laugh hard so that every day of every moment is a memory that we cherish as fellow sons and daughters within our home. One thing I learned is that my father is a being that has experienced failures and has made many mistakes, however, his mistakes have given me the clarity to an understanding that making mistakes and withstanding them is what makes us humans. My dad taught me many lessons in life, but this lesson stood out to me the most because I now understand that mistakes and failures move us forward in stepping that much more closer to our fulfillment in accomplishing our lifelong dreams. Many of us can see that our perceptions of our dads have changed since we were young from being a superhero. Now I see him as a teacher and a fellow human being, like me, who has the potential to shake the very foundation of the earth that we live on. I see my dad as a beacon of humanity within this world. To me, a father is defined as more than a superhero or a guardian; he is a path for us to walk upon from the darkness to the light, from chaos to harmony.
Lastly, I want to point to the fact that my father is awesome because though he harbours negative qualities, he also has positive ones, which I hold too much highest esteem. Negative and positive qualities are what makes my dad that much more exceptional to me. I hope to continue to learn from him as his son and hope to adapt to his positive qualities and make them my own. I also understand that all fathers are exceptional to their sons and daughter. I am going to continue to learn from my father and adapt to his mistakes so I don’t make them as well.
I love you, dad! So please continue to be the dad you are and please always foster me to grow into a human being that can make this world quake in my accomplishments. Please be my teacher and always force me to be the person that never looks down, but looks up at the world. That could be for myself and for you and everyone you and I hold dear. You are my teacher and light in the dark that never wavers or breaks. And most of all you are the foundation that encourages me to make step-by-step through hardship and accomplishments. You warm my heart in a cold world!
My father gave me the greatest gift anyone could give another person, he believes in me.
